Make Safety the Top Priority this Halloween

Ghosts and goblins along with superheros and princesses will soon be swarming the Basin and Vernal Police Department is urging locals to make safety their top priority. Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell promotes safety every year with reminders for parents, drivers, and trick-or-treaters. “For parents,” shares Campbell, “ supervise your children and teach them to be visible and safe. For drivers, be cautious and aware of the large volume of children in costumes that may be difficult to see. For trick-or-treaters, be safe! Keep in mind that it can be difficult for drivers to see you.” It’s a good idea for trick-or-treaters to carry reflectors and a flashlight to increase visibility. And finally, remember that damaging the property of others is not a trick, it is illegal! Have fun, be safe, and act responsibly this Halloween!
