USU Uintah Basin participated in the USU Statewide Student Research Symposium this
month. The event, spearheaded by USU Uintah Research Center director Dr. Seth Lyman,
provided the opportunity for USU students across the state to present their research to
their peers, faculty, and the general public. “Research is in our DNA at USU and at our
Statewide Campuses,” said James Taylor, vice president for Statewide Campuses. “It was
so exciting to see the number of participants at our Statewide Research Symposium. The
efforts of so many staff at many Statewide Campuses is appreciated, the mentorship of
dedicated faculty valued, and the organizational work of Dr. Seth Lyman a spark and
catalyst for success. I was so thrilled to see the quality and quantity of research topics and
look forward to growth and expansion of this event next year.” Dr. Lyman commented
after the event that the response exceeded expectations with all Statewide campuses
represented. “It was so exciting,” shared Lyman, “to see students and faculty celebrating research together across the whole state of Utah.” Visit www.usu.edu/today for the full
