The dream of running the Boston Marathon was a relatively new one for one local woman who lived that dream just 10 days ago. 35-year-old Cara Murray is a devoted mother, wife, and farmer in Lapoint. While she has enjoyed fitness as part of her life for many years she had never considered herself a runner. That is until she decided to sign up for the St. George Marathon last year and let her competitive spirit take the lead. She Boston qualified at the St. George Marathon and then ran the Ogden Marathon. When she heard that she was picked for the Boston Marathon, Cara couldn’t believe how quickly her new ambition was coming together. Her mother and 11-year-old daughter came along to cheer Cara on and the day of the race was an amazing experience for them all. Cara completed the race in a great time and represented the Basin amazingly well!
