Local Cowboy Biggest Mover in Pro Rodeo Standings

There’s only a month left in the 2018 professional rodeo season and a local cowboy is showing he is a force to be reckoned with as the biggest mover in the PRCA/RAM World Standings. It was announced this week that roper Rhen Richard jumped 10 spots from 22nd to 12th place thanks to his latest string of wins. This puts Rhen in a good position to hopefully find himself in the top 15 in the PRCA in hopes of qualifying for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo coming up. Rhen is remembered by many in the Basin as a high school sports star. As a star senior quarterback, Rhen along with Kaden, his talented junior running back brother, lead the Union Cougars football team in 2007 to their first semifinal tournament appearance since 1993. Rhen was highlighted in media throughout the state when, as a two-time football all-stater, he chose professional rodeo in 2008 over offers to play college football. That choice to follow his dream is obviously paying off. Rhen is also ranked 10th in tie-down roping and 3d in the All-Around PRCA/RAM World Standings.
