Lightning is guaranteed to strike not just once but four times this week in the Uintah High Auditorium with the run of Uintah Theatre’s ‘The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical’. The show is a musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s popular book series of Percy Jackson, specifically the first book The Lightning Thief, explains Director Chris Piner. The talented students make up a cast of 28 and a crew of 4. The show is full of special effects and Piner has issued a fair warning that there is a lot of fog, haze, and strobing lights. Percy Jackson is played by Benson Baumgarten and the other leads are Grover played by Cade Marshall and Annabeth played by Olivia Christensen. Other principal actors are Cecilia Benjamin, Reed Uasila’a, Nathan Daley, Ethan Pierce, Shayna Cook, Macie Richards, and Jeanette Anderson with Molly Smith as head of the stage crew. The show’s run time is 1 hour 45 minutes and there are 4 performances total running at 7pm from November 8th through the 11th.
