Eventually everyone is affected by cancer, either personally or through someone they know and love. The “Let’s Talk” cancer support group was formed to offer support and love to anyone who has dealt with the pain cancer can bring to life and the June meeting includes a special activity. “We will have a ‘Look Good…Feel Better’ night,” shares group coordinator Cecilia Sullivan. “This is a program sponsored by the American Cancer Society to share information and guidance to help women undergoing treatment, chemo and/or radiation.” Each month the group focuses on more than just talking in a support group setting. There is always an aspect of arming the group with new information and resources as they take on the cancer and the many ways it affects their lives. The June meeting will take place June 8th at 6:00pm at The Villa in Roosevelt. Those interested in attending the ‘Look Good…Feel Better’ night are asked to pre-register as the make-up kits are specific to skin tone. To get registered, call 435-790-1419.
