Tonight and tomorrow are the final two nights to catch a production from Uintah Theatre’s most contemporary season on record. “We’ve been very lucky to have a season of really current shows,” shares Uintah Director Christopher Piner. “We started with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. That show is still playing on Broadway and in London’s West End. Next we did Disney’s Frozen, and that show just released the rights for licensing. We are ending the season with Six the Musical and it is also currently playing in its original houses in London and New York City. I don’t know if we’ll ever be able to do a season this contemporary again.” Six the Musical is a unique concert format show in a modern Tudor Pop style about the six wives of King Henry the Eighth of England and the wives’ very famous fates. “It’s full of big laughs and clever lines and lyrics,” explains Piner. “Those who know the history will probably get even more of the references and lines, but the show is for everyone, even those who are not familiar with this history.” Tonight and tomorrow at 7pm are the final two performances.
