Kids Canal Dinosaur Stolen

A popular walking path and swim spot for locals has been vandalized. A walking path on
1500 West in Vernal has been the recipient of extra attention in recent years as plans to
fully pipe the canals were resisted for the stretch known as Kids Canal. The Uintah
Special Service District 1 is in charge of the upkeep and maintenance of that stretch and
service projects have spruced up the area for families to enjoy, including the addition of a
dinosaur statue painted as a reflection of the water and trees. Well this popular new icon
has gone missing and the administrators at Uintah Special Service District 1 have shared
that no one had permission to take dinosaur “KC” from his post. It reportedly went
missing overnight on November 20th. Anyone with tips or information are asked to reach
out to Uintah Special Service District 1 or call Central Dispatch at 435-789-4222. And if
whoever took “KC” here’s this, please do the right thing and bring him back!
