Some very special artwork is on display at the Uintah County Heritage Museum. “Jump the Moon” is a traveling exhibit through the Utah Division of Arts & Museums. Some of the favorite pieces are by Jump the Moon founder Michael J. Bingham. “A life-threatening accident greatly enhanced Michael J. Bingham’s awareness and understanding of disabilities,” shares the announcement. “Having been able to fully recover from a broken neck, brain bleed, and other injuries that forced him to be dependent on others, Bingham was even more motivated to serve others with compassion and insight. With 40 years of art and teaching experience, Bingham saw how art had the power to inspire, enlighten, and enrich all lives. He dreamt of having an innovative space that allowed everyone access to higher levels of creativity, self-expression, and communication.” He formed Jump the Moon Foundation to encourage people with disabilities to let their inner artist out to play! Come see pieces from Jump the Moon currently on display at the Uintah County Heritage Museum.
