A Roosevelt man is behind bars after breaking into a Uintah County home and attacking two men inside. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on October 27th, deputies responded to the area of 4500 South Vernal Avenue. Durrell Miller was located in front of a residence near 250 East 4500 South. He was highly intoxicated with a later breath test showing a BAC of 0.245. While at the residence, Miller broke the front door as well as a chair on the porch, causing property damage valued between $500 and $1,499. Miller then unlawfully attacked two men at the residence. In order to attack one of the men, Miller crossed the entryway threshold and entered the house. Miller’s violent, fighting, and tumultuous behavior at the residence created a public disturbance and alarm.  35-year-old Durrell Garth Miller was subsequently arrested, and during a search of his person, officers located a THC vape without possessing a valid Utah medical marijuana card. He is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Burglary of a Dwelling and Misdemeanor Property Damage, Assault, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
