on Friday
. Any chill in the air wasn’t felt as locals and visitors from far off places enjoyed free activities throughout the town. According to event coordinator Dale Allred, the initial estimates are that there were around 11,000 participants. “We were really pleased with the good weather and attendance,” shares Allred. “We are aware of people from all around Utah and a number of Western states [who participated]. It was fantastic.” The Holly Days event also helped make the biggest shopping day of the year a local success for retailers. In fact, the event itself was created as a way to bring the community together for family fun and give people a reason to stay and shop locally over Thanksgiving weekend.
