Holiday Weekend Festivities Around Northeastern Utah

Don’t let the fireworks restrictions put a damper on your weekend fun. Vernal’s America 250 Block Party is happening downtown on Friday, July 3rd. Main Street closes at 6pm with live music until the drone show at 10pm. The parade down Vernal’s Main Street is at 10am on July 4th and the Field of Flags at the Legacy Walking Park will stay up through the weekend. Dinosaurland Freedom Fest has activities at Vernal’s Ashley Valley Community Park on July 4th from 11am until dark, ending with fireworks at 10pm.

Roosevelt will celebrate Independence Day with family activities throughout the day at Constitution Park, including a sand castle contest at 9am, kids fossil dig at 11am, water fight at noon, and inflatables throughout the day. A Veterans Tribute is at 6pm followed by live music leading up to the fireworks display at 10pm. Neola on July 4th includes breakfast at 7:30am, parade at 10, a patriotic program at 11am, slack at 2pm, and the rodeo at 6pm. The 2026 Northern Ute Celebration Powwow is July 2nd through the 5th in Fort Duchesne. And in Dutch John, the 21st Annual Car Show is noon to 5pm on July 4th at Flaming Gorge Resort. The usual fireworks show in Dutch John at dark have been cancelled.
