Highway 40 Myton Bench Construction Update

by | Jun 29, 2017 | News | 0 comments

Traffic is slowing down as construction progresses on Highway 40 between Myton and Roosevelt. UDOT announced Tuesday that Pole Line Road will be closed at the intersection of Highway 40 all day on Thursday for utility work. Drivers should plan to use alternate routes during the closure. Highway 40 is reduced to one lane in each direction from 6250 South to Pole Line Road and the speed limit has been reduced to 55 miles per hour through the work zone. A new retaining wall is being constructed on the east side of the highway at Cobble Hollow Road while crews continue earthwork from 4000 South to Ioka Junction. All are asked to slow down and drive safely through the work zones. The project is widening Highway 40 to five lanes including two travel lanes in each direction as well as a center turn lane from 6250 South in Myton to Pole Line Road in Roosevelt.
