Many in the Uintah Basin are hurting after an accident that took the life of a Duchesne woman and her unborn son and the community is holding an event to share their love and support of the family. Shantell and Macoy Young were traveling near Heber last weekend when a driver in a stolen vehicle crossed into their lane and struck their vehicle nearly head on. Both received critical injuries and tragically Shantell and her baby passed away on Tuesday. Loved ones reported earlier this week that Macoy remains hospitalized. Riveting Salon in Roosevelt is holding a Halloween event tomorrow, October 27th, from 10am to 2pm with all proceeds going to the Young family. The cost is a $15 donation per child to get in and there will be face painting, hairstyling, nail painting, trick or treating, and photos with Edward Scissorhands. Donations are welcome. The address in Roosevelt is 650 South 150 West. Donations can also be made on a GoFundMe account named ‘Shantell, Macoy & Sweet Baby Boy’.
