The Golden Age Center is celebrating 50 years of serving the Vernal area with festivities taking place today. The Golden Age Center was recently named the Government Business of the Year by the Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce and it was discovered that the Center has been serving the Basin for half a century, a milestone worth celebrating. “We are inviting seniors, caregivers, and anyone concerned about seniors to come see our building and learn about our services,” shares Case Manager Corrine Mortenson. “We have a lot in our community to make their lives easier as caregivers and as patients.” The celebration is going on
today from 10am to 2pm
. There will be booths set up with information on Alzheimers, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and other resources. A free BBQ lunch will be held
at noon
