Gobbler Thanksgiving 5K To Benefit Two Locals Receiving Cancer Treatment

by | Oct 28, 2022 | News | 0 comments

‘Little by little a little becomes a lot.’ The Gobbler Thanksgiving 5K epitomizes this motto each year as they invite all to come run, walk, bawk, or squawk on November 24th before Thanksgiving dinner to support two locals in tremendous need as they fight for their lives.

This year’s recipients are high school senior Justin Aiono-Mamea and Vernal native Trevor Harbison. Justin is battling MPAL Leukemia. He loves sports, music, his friends, and family. Even during his hospital stays for chemotherapy and blood transfusions, he still manages to make everyone smile and laugh. Trevor is battling Stage 2 Pancreatic Cancer.

Trevor is a loving husband and father to two little ones, 5-year-old Luke and 2-year-old Lydia. He just finished a set of chemo and is prepping for more rounds of treatment in preparation for major surgery to hopefully take place early next year.

Get registered for the Gobbler Thanksgiving 5K at www.gobbler5k.com. The race begins Thanksgiving morning at 9am in front of the UBTech building in Vernal. All profits from the race, raffle and awesome merch goes directly to the recipient families!
