A fugitive on Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Most Wanted list has been captured in Montana. According to the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Hayden Anthony Riggs, formerly of Green River, is wanted for a 2015 youth home attack. According to court documents, Green River Police was dispatched to the Sweetwater Youth Crisis Center for an assault and found one of the home’s employees tied up with electrical cord around her wrists, a belt around her ankles, and a sheet around her throat and head. Riggs and his roommate had pre-planned the attack in an effort to steal a car and escape the youth home. In March 2016, Riggs was formally charged in the case as an adult for kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, aggravated assault, battery, felony theft, and robbery. In May 2016, Riggs pleaded guilty and was sent to boot camp at the Department of Corrections Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp which he finished last April. He resided at a youth home to continue his years of supervised probation but on his 18th birthday in August he and a roommate left in a preplanned escape. Riggs was found by Montana law enforcement and was arrested without incident in Glendive, Montana, this week.
