A Fort Duchesne man was arrested last week and is being held on no bail. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on September 30th, law enforcement was dispatched to milepost 119 on Highway 40 regarding a female in a truck with blood all over her hands and face. Officers later contacted that female in the emergency room. She recounted a domestic-violence incident in Gusher. Jesse Clark had gone to the liquor store in Vernal with some family and began drinking in the vehicle immediately after the alcohol was purchased. A witness stated that Clark became increasingly agitated, the family took the alcohol away, and Clark threatened to make the driver crash the vehicle if the alcohol was not returned. The alcohol was returned because of the threat. At the house in Gusher, Clark continued to be agitated and aggressive toward family members. He put his hand over the victim’s throat, choked her, pushed her into the wall, and threw her onto the floor. Other family members tried to restrain Clark and could not. He allegedly grabbed a glass cup and threw it at the victim, striking her mouth and chin. The cup shattered on contact and caused several lacerations to her face. The victim got a ride to the emergency room where she required 20 stitches to her face. Jesse Clark’s AP&P agent told Officers that Clark was not allowed to have alcohol in his system. Officers responded to the camp trailer where Clark was located. He did not obey numerous commands to exit. Officers entered and Clark continued to disobey commands while being taken into custody. 38-year-old Jesse Doyle Clark of Fort Duchesne is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury, as well as multiple Misdemeanor offenses. He is being held on no bail.
