A motorcycle ride ended tragically on Highway 191 south of Duchesne County last week. According to the Utah Highway Patrol report, three motorcycles were traveling north on Highway 191 nearing the 258 Mile Marker on Thursday, May 26th at approximately 5:00pm. “This area of the canyon contains several S-turns,” reports Highway Patrol. “The rider of Vehicle no.1 had a motorcycle learner permit and did not have a lot of experience driving a motorcycle. As she entered one of the turns, she failed to navigate a turn, striking the guardrail. The female rider was thrown from the motorcycle over the guardrail.” The first to arrive on scene was the Helper City Police Chief who began life saving measures but the female rider died on scene.
