Extra Projects Part Of Vernal Temple Annual Maintenance Closure

The Vernal Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is getting some extra attention during the month of September as additional projects are part of this year’s standard maintenance closure. Vernal Temple Building Manager Justin Hall shared with Evans Family Media that the two towers on top of the temple hadn’t been painted in 28 years so the crane was brought in to have those repainted along with the center structure on top of the temple. Workers are also working on the Soffit Fascia with the crane’s help. Hall explains that a typical maintenance shutdown is just touching up the building but quite a few additional projects are happening this year. Concrete is being replaced, the mechanical room is being replumbed, a lot of walls are being repainted inside, and wood is being touched up. Also, patrons to the Temple may be happy to hear that the cooling system has been replaced. The Vernal Utah Temple Closure runs through September 28th.
