Of course the precipitation is a welcome sight but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some issues that come with the rain. The Moffat County Commissioners met last week to take measures to temporarily close Echo Park Road leading into Echo Park Campground in Dinosaur National Monument, due to extensive flash flood damage. The Commission's signed Resolution states that the closure of County Road 156 (Echo Park Road) is effective upon the erection of official traffic control devices giving notice of the closure and shall continue until flash-flooding conditions have been abated and the road has been inspected and determined to be safe for travel, and/or safety repairs have been completed.
