Duchesne County Search and Rescue has had busy weekends lately. Their team responded to two separate incidents on Sunday. First, Duchesne County Search and Rescue responded to reports of a sudden rock slide along the Highline Trail. They were grateful to report that no injuries occurred. Then, shortly after, the Duchesne County Search and Rescue Team rushed to assist an injured hunter. “Our members worked together to get him onto a rescue litter and load him directly into the awaiting Life Flight helicopter,” shares their report which included thanks to their dedicated team and the Life Flight crew for a seamless evacuation. Finally, the weekend before, on Sunday, September 27th, Duchesne County Search and Rescue reports that they received a call for a hiker experiencing symptoms of altitude sickness on the Highline Trail. Due to his condition and the terrain, they coordinated with Life Flight, who flew him out for further medical care. Well done to the Search and Rescue team on doing their part to help the community.
