Duchesne County Man Charged with Sexual Exploitation of Minor

A Duchesne County man has been charged in 8th District Court with 2 counts of felony Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Stalking. According to the arresting officer’s probable cause statement, a woman contacted the Sheriff’s Office on January 31st that 18-year-old Agustin Angel Martinez of Roosevelt was continually harassing her daughter since she was a 17-year-old minor. The harassment included threatening social media messages and taking images of the girl using remote computer access and posting them on Facebook. The investigation included seizing several computer and electronic devices that belonged to Martinez, who admitted to officers that he had nude photographs of minors on the electronic devices and that he had uploaded a nude video of the 17-year-old minor to a pornographic website. He also admitted to accessing the minor’s computer remotely and posting the picture of the girl sleeping to Facebook. Martinez was arrested on February 1st. A pretrial protective order was filed on February 9th and Martinez was released on bail on February 10th. Martinez is scheduled to be in court again on February 27th.
