It’s time again for the local Drug Take Back events in conjunction with National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Local law enforcement will be collecting unused or expired prescription medication for safe disposal at two sites this Saturday, no questions asked. “It is very important to get rid of unused medications to help prevent them from getting in the wrong hands as well as being overused and abused,” shares the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office. “We urge folks to take advantage of the Drug Take Back event held this Saturday and to also know that there is a prescription drug drop off box at the public safety complex that can be utilized anytime.” Prescription drug abuse is a growing problem nationally and the Basin is no different. The drop off locations will be at Stewart’s Market in Roosevelt and the old KMart Plaza in Vernal
on Saturday, October 28th, from 10am to 2pm
