Drug Arrest In Duchesne City

A passenger in a vehicle was arrested for drugs in Duchesne City last week. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, when proof of insurance was asked for the officer noticed a zip container commonly used to hold drugs that the passenger was trying to push further into the glove box. It was found the driver was on parole so the officer informed the occupants that a search of the vehicle would be performed at which point the passenger began reaching around the vehicle and into the glove box. He was told to stop. The search found a glass pipe with meth, a baggie with meth and 2 tooters, and 2 torch lighters. 49-year-old Darrell Jay Brewer was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
