Keep your eyes to the sky this weekend in the Vernal area to enjoy a magical sight. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is Dinah “SOAR” Days with 24 hot air balloons scheduled to participate and launch each morning around 6:00am from the Uintah Rec Center property. While there will be no tethered rides this year due to COVID-19 it will still be worth the time to attend. The Night Glow will be held Friday night along with a car show, running of the dinosaurs, battle of the bands, and of course Main Street will be lit up with over 10 enormous hot air balloons. Meeting the pilots is a favorite opportunity for festival visitors each year. The fun continues Saturday evening as well with the air balloon pilots putting on a fun show using the air balloons fire synced to music. Uintah County Travel and Tourism Director Lesha Coltharp urges all to get out and experience this MAGICAL event. There will be hand sanitizer and hand washing stations and plenty of space to stay back and still take in the breathtaking beauty of the Dinah “SOAR” Days hot air balloons visiting Vernal this weekend.
