Thousands of hours go into preparing for a theatrical production and the hard work of the entire cast and crew of Outlaw Trail Theater’s production of ‘South Pacific’ truly shines on stage. The charming and talented McKenna Christiansen, who plays lead character Ensign Nellie Forbush, hopes all will come share in this story with them before the production run is over. “Theatre is such a unique art,” shares Christiansen. “For 9 weeks, we work so hard to create this beautiful little world, and when it’s over, we disassemble it in 2 hours. All we keep are friendships and memories. But the friendships this year have been beautiful; strengthened by huge need during this time of isolation. Creating the memories has been a joy, and we share that every night with our audience. Don’t miss this little world that we’ve made,” she continues. “It’s a beautiful story about how love makes you better and more brave, told by people who have been made better by this whole experience.” The show runs just two more nights, Thursday and Friday, July 2nd and 3rd, at the Outlaw Trail Amphitheater at Western Park. Tickets are available at OutlawTrailTheater.com or call 1-888-240-2080.
