Presenters at the Uintah County Commission meeting provided a clear snapshot of how 2017 panned out for the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo. The event brought in 501 professional contestants including 23 world champions and 62 of the 120 NFR qualifiers. 25 states and 5 nations including Australia, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States were represented. While the economic impact of the event is difficult to pin down, the presentation did break down how one promotion alone certainly stands out. 623 Wrangler ticket vouchers were sold equalling an estimated $50,000 dollars spent in the local economy in Wrangler apparel alone. The event had the highest ticket sales since the rodeo went from 4 to 3 nights in 2009. The 2017 total attendance was estimated at 8,800 rodeo attendees and the total event revenue was $328,566 dollars.
