The Roosevelt City Police Department has announced this year’s dates for a special training event. Their 3rd annual K9 Memorial Seminar will be held April 28th through May 1st. The K9 Memorial Seminar was originally created in memory of Andrew Cox who passed away unexpectedly due to a fatal medical incident. The loss was widely felt in the law enforcement community where Cox served for over 20 years, known for his dedication to the K-9 program and was a recognized expert in the field statewide. He served in various capacities over his long law enforcement tenure, including working with Naples City Police, Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Roosevelt City Police, US Marshal’s VFAST Program, Uintah Basin Narcotics Strike Force, and UBTech POST Academies. Contact the Roosevelt City Police Department for more information on the 3rd annual K9 Memorial Seminar.
