The stretch of highway that runs south between Rock Springs to Flaming Gorge and the Utah State Line has been closed since Tuesday. The heavy snowfall has created impassable roads all throughout Wyoming. The Wyoming Department of Transportation has been working hard to clear the roads and now that Interstate 80 has been cleared, the crews have shifted their attention. They will be working to re-open US 191 south but there is no date as to when that will happen. WYDOT reminds the public that US 191 South has seasonal weight restrictions, no trucks in excess of 40,000 pounds, that will remain in effect
until April 1.
