The community is invited to a special send off event this weekend in Uintah County. Emma Shelton was crowned last fall as Miss Utah Volunteer 2026 and she is about to travel to Tennessee to compete in the Miss Volunteer America Pageant representing the state of Utah. She will be 1 of 51 competitors and is the first competitor from the Uintah County to win the Miss Utah Volunteer title. The send off event for Emma is happening Saturday from 2 to 4pm at Vernal Middle School where she will be doing all phases of the competition so everyone can see her interview, talent, fitness, and evening gown. Emma is thrilled to welcome the community and give a peak at what she will be showcasing on a national stage. The National Miss Volunteer America Pageant starts on June 17th with finals on June 20th in Jackson, Tennessee.
