It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. On June 13th in Rifle, Colorado, a man attempted to kidnap a young girl from her own home by pulling her through a bedroom window. The girl fought off her attacker and the man ran as the girl’s parents called 9-1-1. The Rifle Police Department have now filed formal charges against the suspect, Ykezio Sullivan, who is awaiting extradition from Idaho. According to Rifle Police Department, Sullivan was already on law enforcement’s radar due to a prior arrest for sexual contact involving a child last fall. “It was learned that Sullivan left Rifle shortly after the incident in June and that he was living in Meridian, Idaho,” shares Rifle PD. “On August 1st, 2018, enough evidence was collected to obtain an arrest warrant charging Sullivan with Kidnapping, First Degree Criminal Trespass, and Second Degree Burglary. Sullivan was arrested on August 7th at approximately
10:35am
in Meridian, Idaho, by the Meridian Police Department.”
