A Neola fire on Monday is another example of how quickly yard and agricultural burning can get out of control, according to a report from the BIA Forestry & Wildlife Fire – Uintah & Ouray Agency. Neola Fire Department was called out just before 3:00pm on April 9th to a field fire north of Neola on a private farm near 11000 North 3400 West.

Multiple Uintah Basin cities and agencies received awards at the 2018 Annual ‘Rural Water Association of Utah’ Conference held in St. George earlier this year. Simplot Phosphates took home the coveted trophy for ‘Best Water in Utah’. A panel of judges performed a blind taste test based on clarity, taste, and smell of water and Simplot was selected as the winner among many entries.
