A grass fire in Uintah County resulted in exterior fire to a home on Wednesday afternoon. According to Uintah County Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond, a person driving by called the fire in at around 2:30pm. The fire was burning on the exterior of the home and burning in the front yard, grass, leaves, trees, and some combustible items.

DWR Implements Occupancy Limit at Old Fort Ponds

The Division of Wildlife Resources has implemented occupancy limits at Old Fort Ponds in Uintah County. DWR Conservation Outreach Manager Tonya Kieffer-Selby explains that there have been recent days with up to 50 people at the ponds but the pond occupancy is now a maximum of 25 people, while keeping distances between individuals to a minimum of 6 feet.
