Dinosaur National Monument has announced that due to significant damage from a recent thunderstorm, the Yampa Bench Road in Dinosaur National Monument is closed from the monument’s east boundary to the junction with the Echo Park Road until further notice. A thunderstorm passed over the Yampa Bench Road area early on Tuesday, August 3rd.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department verified in a press release this week the presence of two aquatic invasive species in Flaming Gorge Reservoir – curly pondweed and New Zealand mudsnails. This is the first time New Zealand mudsnails have been documented above the Flaming Gorge dam.

Tonight is the public hearing for a proposed Vernal City tax increase. Vernal City issued a press release stating that the sole purpose of the proposed tax increase is to pay for the Homeless Tax levied by the State Legislature.
