KNEU 1250Uintah County Sheriff’s Office reports that on the evening of August 16th, emergency crews were dispatched to 9500 East, south of Bullock Reservoir on the report of a vehicle rollover. When crews arrived, they located a tan Ford Explorer in the roadway.
Ashley National Forest announced Wednesday the closure of Rock Creek Road due to debris flow and work to clear it will begin once the rain stops. “Under current conditions and with more rain expected it poses a safety hazard for equipment operators to begin at this time,” shared the announcement.

Moffat County Commissioners are stopping plans to turn the old Furniture Galley into a homeless shelter after learning the funding from the CARES Act limits their control over the shelter. The local Special Olympics ‘Walk for Inclusion’ held last week was a success. The walk was held August 12th at the Naples City Park and had around 50 Special Olympics athletes, volunteers, and Special Olympics supporters in attendance.

A trip to Dinosaur National Monument is special no matter who you are but one family this week had the added bonus of connecting with their roots while there. Multiple generations of the Iverson family enjoyed a visit to the Monument and were able to take pictures in the same locations as historic photos of Earl Douglass over 100 years later.
