KNEU 1250Daggett County is taking a hit after the removal of state inmates from the Daggett County Jail in February after allegations of misconduct surfaced. According to the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office, 80 state inmates were removed from the jail on Friday, February 17th, and 2 employees were put on administrative leave during the investigation.
Persistence paid off last week when the Community Impact Board made a significant adjustment to the funding agreement for the Leland Bench Road project in Uintah County. According to a release from the Uintah County Commission, in most cases, the CIB requires that those who receive a loan/grant must spend the loan money before they can have the grant money.

James Hudson Main, Jr. made his first appearance in 8th District Court this week on charges tied to a string of crimes committed last October. Main Jr. faces a long list of charges in Utah and Colorado after a two day crime spree that included kidnapping, assault, and the alleged aggravated murder of his own father.
