Latest Job Growth Numbers Show Utah Leading Nation

New data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows Utah climbing even higher in national job growth rankings. Utah now ranks Number 1 in both total job growth in the U.S. at 3.2 percent and Number 1 for private sector job growth at 3.5 percent. Unemployment is also low at 3.1 percent.

The Mile Marker 24 Fire east of Meeker is contained. The blaze started after a Controlled Burn of ditches on private land got out of control on Tuesday. On Wednesdaynight, the fire was 80 percent contained.
