Roosevelt Couple Arrested for Stealing and Selling Stolen Antiques

If your home, farm or property in Duchesne or Uintah Counties have had items go missing recently, the thieves behind it may now be behind bars. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Travis Kirk Cook and 29-year-old Shalae Jensen Cook are facing charges after detectives searched their home and located a cache of stolen antiques and memorabilia.

Rodeo Van Resurrected After Nearly 20 Years

Nearly two decades ago a staple for rodeo week was put into storage and practically forgotten but this year it’s back in full glory. The rodeo van was purchased by the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo committee back in the 80’s and was used in parades and around town to market the annual event to locals.

Shooting Incident in Craig

A shooting incident took place on Yampa Avenue in Craig on Monday morning. According to Craig Police, a person was shot at while in a vehicle at the intersection of Yampa and 8th. The victim encountered 38-year-old Anthony Montano in another vehicle and Montano pulled a gun out and shot at the victim.

Stolen Guns Recovered; Rock Springs Man Charged

Stolen guns have been recovered and a Rock Springs man in behind bars following a Sweetwater County Sheriff’s investigation. 44-year-old Robert J. “Bobby” Miller was charged with felony Theft and Wrongful Taking or Disposing of Property, according to Sheriff Mike Lowell. A firearm theft case opened up on June 11th and Miller was a suspect.

Lying to and hiding from police won’t do you much good in Rio Blanco County. Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Office was on the hunt Thursday for 40-year-old Rangley woman Alyssa Baley who had multiple warrants when they made contact with the occupants of a vehicle at Mountain Valley Bank in Meeker, Colorado.
