The final case in the Daggett County Jail scandal was resolved this week in Summit County Justice Court. 27-year-old Logan James Walker was scheduled for a jury trial starting Thursday but instead entered a guilty plea to misdemeanor official misconduct, according to a KSL report. Walker is ordered to serve 6 months probation with the possibility that the conviction could be dismissed afterwards. The man at the heart of the scandal, former deputy Joshua Cox, pleaded guilty last fall to two counts of aggravated assault, one count of transporting a weapon into a secure area, and one count of theft. Cox is serving a term of 120 days in the Uintah County Jail and is ordered to 36 months supervised probation.
