Can You Donate A Valentine’s Day Meal Kit For A Local Foster Family?

Utah Foster Care is spreading the word that there are more ways to help with local foster care than just being a foster family. Shannon Smith with Utah Foster Care in the Uintah Basin shares that there are always service opportunities available. For example, there is always a need for those who can help with short term placements as well as providing respite care to babysit for foster families. While those are important, there are simpler ways to support local foster care as well. Right now the community is invited to put together Valentine’s Day Meal Kits. This is exactly what it sounds like. Put together the items, ingredients, and instructions for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner that can be delivered to a local foster family on Valentine’s Day. No need to prepare the meal. Part of the activity is allowing the foster family to enjoy making something new together for a family meal. Please drop the meal kits off at the Utah Foster Care location at 1680 West Highway 40 in Vernal on February 13th between 9am and 5pm. For more information, you can call 801-743-7348 or email shannon.smith@utahfostercare.org.
