Uintah, Duchesne, and Daggett County will be updating their Hazard Mitigation Plan thanks to a FEMA grant program. According to Uintah County Emergency Manager Heidi Lundberg, our region works together to update the plan every 5 years to be eligible for FEMA funding. This time, Uintah County is taking the lead with support from Daggett and Duchesne County. There has been $56,250 dollars of Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) grant funding awarded. Each County is then required to add $6,250 dollars in order to reach a total of $75,000 dollars to be used to update the Hazard Mitigation Plan.
