BLM Approves Waterline Amendment, Herbicide Treatments

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has made several approvals on projects in Uintah County. The Remington Lay Flat Waterline Amendment was approved to authorize Anschutz Exploration Corporation to modify the waterline route by adding approximately 0.2 mile to reach an alternate take out point on the White River. The Pelican Reservoir Eurasian Milfoil Treatment project was approved, authorizing the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to conduct herbicide treatments in Pelican Reservoir over a three-year period. Pelican Reservoir would be closed to public use for one mid-week day each application year while the contractor is applying the herbicide.
