BLM Approves Up To 12 Gas Wells At Knight Well Pad In Uintah County

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has approved new gas wells in Uintah County. This week’s announcement states that the signed decision record approves four Applications for Permit to Drill authorizing the applicant, Anschutz Exploration Corporation, to horizontally drill gas wells from the Knight Well Pad. The Environmental Assessment analyzed effects of constructing the well pad with associated access roads and pipelines and drilling of eight additional wells in the future for a total of twelve. The project location is on BLM-administered land approximately 46 miles south of Vernal in Uintah County.
