BLM Approves Permits To Drill For Scout Energy

The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment for the Omaha 2 Well Pad. The BLM announcement shares that the ‘Responsible Official’ signed a decision record approving three Applications for Permit to Drill authorizing applicant Scout Energy Management LLC to horizontally drill oil wells from the Omaha 2 Well Pad. The Environmental Assessment also analyzed effects of constructing the pad with an associated access road and pipeline corridor. The project location is on BLM-administered lands in the Greater Monument Buttes Unit approximately 11 miles south of Myton in Duchesne County.
