An opportunity has been announced to support Sgt. Chad Watt and his family while he is
recovering in the hospital after being shot multiple times while on duty last month. The
newly formed civic group “Vernal Strong” has joined forces with Uintah Special Service
District 1 and Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley to organize the upcoming “Back the
Blue – Swinging For Sgt. Chad Watt – Fundraiser Golf Tournament” at the Dinaland Golf
Course on May 17th. This will be a 4 person scramble with an 8am or 2pm flight. It’s a
$400 entry fee per team. Hole sponsorships are also needed and extra donations are also
welcome to benefit Sgt. Chad Watt. Register at Dinaland Golf Course.
