Many travelers coming to and from the Uintah Basin on Saturday were delayed due ot a tragic crash. According to Utah Highway Patrol, on Saturday, January 30th, at approximately 6:19 p.m., Troopers responded to reports of a head-on collision on Highway 40 at mile post 34.

Tri-County Area COVID-19 Transmission Level Update (1/28/21 – 2/3/21)
The TriCounty Health District COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels reports Uintah County and Duchesne County at the High Transmission Level and Daggett County at the Low Transmission Level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 16 percent and there were 157 cases in the past 14 days.
Northwest Colorado Sees Decrease in Fatal Vehicle Crashes
2020 showed a significant decrease in fatal vehicle crashes in northwest Colorado which showed roads were far safer than most other areas across the state. According to Colorado State Patrol, the District 4 region (which includes Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Routt Counties) was over 25 percent safer than in 2019.
