Crescent Energy Company announced this month their acquisition of high-margin oil assets in the Uinta Basin. According to the announcement, Crescent Energy entered into a definitive purchase agreement with Verdun Oil Company II LLC to acquire Uinta Basin assets previously owned by EP Energy for $815 million dollars.
Ozone Alert: All Encouraged To Reduce Ozone-Forming Emissions
The USU Bingham Research Center has issued an Ozone Alert for the Uinta Basin. Bingham Research Center Director Dr. Seth Lyman shares that the area is in danger of exceeding the EPA ozone standard over the next several days and as a result, all are encouraged to please reduce ozone-forming emissions where possible.

Family Escapes From House Fire
Thankfully there are no major injuries after a tragic house fire in Uintah County on Tuesday. Naples City Police Department shared that on February 22nd at 4:46pm the Vernal City Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire of a home on 1500 East.
