TriCounty COVID-19 Transmission Index Update

As of Thursday, February 24th, TriCounty Health Department reported 12,618 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date. As of that report, there had been 1 new COVID-19 related death in the previous 7 days and 6 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations. Active cases continue to decrease from the week before, shifting from 1,746 two weeks ago to 905 active cases one week ago and 458 active cases as of this week’s report. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports that Uintah County and Duchesne County remain at the High Transmission Index Level while Daggett County remains at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 14 percent with 110 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 16 percent with 84 cases, and Daggett County was 25 percent with 2 cases.
