Ashley Regional Renovation/Construction Project Moving Along

A major renovation and construction project at Ashley Regional Medical Center is underway. The upstairs wing of the north building is gutted and construction workers are preparing it for renovation. Some ground work is also underway for the addition. The hospital broke ground on the $35 million dollar expansion and renovation project in October. The focal point of the project will be a new Women’s Center and ICU within a three-story 30,000 square foot tower. The Women’s Center will offer digital mammography, a new C-section room and new labor and postpartum rooms. The new ICU will include a fully renovated medical-surgical unit. Since 2001, LifePoint Health has invested over $72 million dollars in capital improvements to the hospital. Once complete, the hospital will feature all-private patient beds and there will be a significant increase in parking.
